Bach, Baudelaire, Der Blaue Reiter, Rimbaud, Tarkovsky, Takemitsu and Benny Hill (OK, I made the last one up) are just some of the names dropped by French pianist Couturier in his brief notes for this debut solo recording. Of course, the music remains resolutely good, bad or indifferent regardless of the contexts, and while there are a few striking themes among the 17 pieces here, too much lateral, non-directive noodling prevents real communication taking place. C'est drôle de comparer les rappeurs et la manière dont ils abordent les même sujets différemment, Vald a traité le même sujet avec Meilleure amie et l'approche a rien à voir. Ingumundur lives alone on a desolate farm. He is trying to rebuild his house and is looking after his granddaughter from time to time. He is quiet on the surface, but underneath he is grieving for his recently deceased wife. When a disturbing detail about his wife's past suddenly comes to the surface it threatens to destroy the fragile peace he has created, and affects everyone he loves.
When the movie starts with good few minutes of a car driving down a misty road you know you are in for a long ride. The harsh landscape of the setting is almost a character in the film. It gives the movie almost a magnetic quality. But there's a sense of imminent tragedy lurking underneath it all.
WHITE WHITE DAY tells a seemingly simple story, but is secretive at times, letting the viewers decide for themselves what motivates the characters. And it is often what happens off screen that has the real impact.
The cinematography however goes a bit overboard with still static shots of everchanging nature, as beautiful as they are they quickly turn irritating.
There are wonderful performances from all involved, specifically a tour de force from the lead Ingvar Siggurdson, as he slowly goes to pieces, his anger, pain and frustration tearing him apart on the inside, as he is just sitting there quietly like a bomb ready to go off.
WHITE WHITE DAY has a story to tell and has some interesting characters to match. It is, however first, and foremost an Arthouse film that tries to experiment with cinematography, light and pacing. It also relies on the viewer's attention, but it is a long, slightly depressing movie and not everyone will last the distance. But if you do it is rather rewarding.
Some movies hide the fact that they have little to say beyond the artistic impressions. WHITE WHITE DAY is not such a film.

Old Cop slowly goes crazy after learning about his deceased wife's past. Southern style drama of revenge and jealousy set in the high North. Great performances, great art direction, interesting visualizations. Recommended. True skating is the fullest freedome someone can achieve. Voila ce que tu as fait pour moi mon ange ! merci je noublierais jamais. Une énorme source d'inspiration ce clip. C est une chanson qui a été faite pour ma femme qui c est éteinte le 14 novembre 2015.

Printemps blanc un pure chef-dœuvre, une pure création authentique. Jadore ma chérie❤️.

Le Daim fait partie de mes rattrapages 2019 à voir absolument avant la fin de l'année, je pense qu'il y a de grandes chances pour que je l'apprécie vu qu'en général j'aime beaucoup le cinéma de Quentin Dupieux. 1. Download Movie le dimanche 25. 5:45 a u tute. Très hâte de voir ce film. Apparemment Dupieux on aime ou on aime pas... pourtant, j'ai aimé tout ses films. Steak, Wrong, Wrong Cops, Rubber, et Réalité c'est un film absolument génial, et Au Poste ça reste encore un bon moment. Puis voici venu le fameux Le Daim Du 100% Daim. 50% Dupieux + 45% Dujardin + 5% à franges. 200% d'absence totale de surprise. 1h20. ça peut paraître très très très très très très très très, très long. oui j'ai beaucoup souffert. Cet espèce de marchandise pour SnobyBobo's en manque d'imagination et de décalage intellectuel c'est plus supportable. Je comprend bien que ça rapporte rien de prendre Dujardin pour tourner un court métrage de 23 min, mais pour en arriver là, non merci. l'Absurde oui ça fait du bien, mais l'aburdité à la chaine... c'est suce pet.
